What it is
It Depends Who You Ask is a solo-journaling RPG game where you build and design a mythical creature. The game is broken into two parts. In part one, you physically design a mythical creature using dice rolls and art cards of your choice. In part two, you’ll use a deck of tarot cards to build events that shape the legend and lore of your creature.
What being a playtester gets ya
As a playtester, you’ll have access to both alpha and beta builds of the game (PDF files) before anyone else! You’ll also get access to a discord server (eventually) where you can discuss the game with us and other players and show off your builds/lore. We’ll be using some of your playthroughs to help with marketing, so you could also get some sweet social media cred (is that still what the kids are calling it these days?)
Requirements for being a playtester
- Do not share the content you recieve/make with anyone outside of the playtesting group. (This includes social media posts, we’ll organize a release date and let you all know when you can post about the fun experiences you’ve had then.)
- Provide feedback and response (we understand life gets hectic, and if you sign up but then can’t playtest, that’s fine. But if you do play the game, we ask for feedback so we can continue to improve it and make it better)
- A willingness to let us post about your creatures/playthrough experience (you maintain all rights to anything you create, we’re just sharing it)
